We’re super excited for a huge week at the gigantic Melbourne Home Show. We are extremely lucky to have Nicole presenting with us on what we all agree is an extremely important topic. Nicole noted to us that “More people die from breathing outdoor air in Australia, than they do from the road toll. This talk, presented by Ausclimate will be taking place at 2PM on Sunday at the ‘Build, Renovate, Decorate Seminar’ Stage at the Melbourne Home Show.

Ausclimate will be at stall Q42 of the Melbourne Home Show from Thursday through Sunday with our complete product range on display; Air Purifiers, Dehumidifiers and our latest Commercial Dehumidifier range. In Your Words

Just wanted to take a special moment to share this well-worded & comprehensive review of our Large 35 Litre/Day Dehumidifier by the lovely Michellina on her wonderful website at the-labrinth.com She has also shared some heartwarming words about how Ausclimate has helped with her chemical sensitivities & mould allergies on the AESSRA forum: http://www.aessra.org

“My dehumidifier has worked like a dream: my mould allergies cause me to wake up congested, dry eyed and with horrid headaches. After two days I’ve woken up clear and refreshed. I can’t believe how good it works, just by keeping the humidity down…”

Thanks so much Michellina, it really makes what we do worthwhile when we hear about our Ausclimate products making such a difference to peoples lives.

This Large 35L model, as well as the rest of our Dehumidifier range is available for purchase right now at ausclimate.com.au

QLD Sanctuary Cove Boat Show

Thursday 22 May – Sunday 25 May 2014

A callout to all of our Ausclimate boat enthusiasts, make sure to come out and visit us at Booth 53 of the QLD Sanctuary Cove Boat Show where we will be exhibiting our range of NWT Dehumidifiers!

Just like our homes, boats have more than their share of moisture problems. The number one choice for our boat owners is the NWT Compact 12 lire/day Dehumidifier. Don’t let the small size fool you, this powerful yet compact unit sure packs a punch and is suited to boats, caravans, storage rooms and walk-in robes. It removes up to 12 litres of moisture per day and is suited to 20 square metre/50 cubic metre areas. The low centre of gravity and continuous hose drain option are ideal for running the water straight down the sink!

Our Ausclimate friend, Tony Smith uses his Ausclimate Dehumidifier to keep his pride & joy, the Free Spirit (pictured) dry & in ship-shape. Cheers Tony!

Happy boating & see you at the Sanctuary Cove Boat Show.

Cheers,

Cyclone Ita – Baby Charlie

Cyclone Ita - Baby Charlie

As many of you will know, Cyclone Ita recently rocked north QLD as the strongest tropical cyclone to impact the area since Cyclone Yasi three years prior. But despite Ita’s destruction, we at Ausclimate were very happy to hear of a little blessing from some of our latest Ausclimate friends, Kasia and Daniel of Tully, QLD.

Kasia and partner Daniel are from the small town of Tully – approximately 140 kilometers south of Cairns and 210 kilometres north of Townsville and one of the wettest places in Australia. Kasia and Daniel had planned well ahead for the disastrous effects of Cyclone Ita with their Ausclimate Dehumidifier purchase. It came as a surprise however that a little bundle of joy decided to arrive just as the cyclone hit! We were delighted to hear of the safe delivery of baby boy, Charlie and that mother and son are doing well.

Kasia spoke of their thought process through this crazy series of events; ” As I was watching the cyclone’s progress, I decided we were in the safest place possible – surrounded by midwives and an obstetrician on call in a solid brick building”.

We were also happy to hear that in addition to the safe delivery of their baby boy Charlie, their Dehumidifier was also delivered safely despite the wild weather. All the best to Kasia, Daniel & Charlie as well as all those effected by Cyclone Ita. And as always, if you have any home moisture problems of your own, please don’t hesitate to get in touch, we’re here to help with friendly, expert advice and product details.

Cheers,

Compact Dehumidifier boat interior

Ausclimate has just relaunched the most powerful compact Dehumidifier on the Australian market, the NWT Compact Dehumidifier.

This quality model has proven over and over again to be ideal in not just the marine industry but also perfect for caravans, storage rooms, walk-in robes, bedrooms – the list of uses just goes on and on.

The highlight of this unique Dehumidifier model is its compact size and powerful moisture removal capacity. Standing at only 44cm high, it weighs 8.6kgs and extracts up to a whopping 12 litres of water per day!

The sturdy base and low centre of gravity are great for boats and caravans, while its strong fold-down carry handle makes it easy to move and stow away in small places. Another great feature is its continuous drainage option. If you want to bypass the 2.5 litre water-holding tank, it’s as simple as unscrewing the drainage cap, removing the rubber bung and pushing on a 12 – 13mm drainage hose. This can be done in a matter of seconds!

One last added bonus; if there’s a power failure, this dehumidifier will automatically re-start again once power returns. The dehumidifier’s manual start also makes it perfect to use with timers.

Remember, all Ausclimate NWT Dehumidifiers are covered by a 2 year full replacement warranty for domestic use.

To check out more features and specifications, check out our NWT Compact Dehumidifier Specification Sheet or to view our full range of Dehumidifiers, take a look at our website: www.ausclimate.com.au

Bedroom Mattress Dehumidifier Drying Guide

Bedroom Mattress Dehumidifier Drying Guide

Get rid of mould and dust mites from your mattress with your Ausclimate Dehumidifier!

We spend around a third of our lives in bed, and if you examine that bed closely, you may be unpleasantly surprised at who your sleeping with! Dust mites and other various microscopic nasties are likely breeding in your mattress all year round and can cause skin allergies, general allergies irritations and various breathing issues.

But luckily, there is an easy solution; Your DEHUMIDIFIER!

My partner, Joanne (pictured) always tells people how amazed she was the first time she saw about how much moisture the Dehumidifier was able to extract from the families mattresses at home.

Follow these simple instructions to dry out your mattress, carpet and inside of your wardrobe, reducing the moisture levels, therefore eliminating their optimal breeding conditions for these “nasties”. Through regular use, you’ll sleep better knowing that dust mites won’t be there to affect you or your loved ones anymore.

Some easy to follow tips to dry out your bedroom:

1. Place the Ausclimate Dehumidifier in a central location within the room
2. Remove the bed linen to fully expose the mattress
3. Drape the pillows over a clothes airer (optional)
4. Pull the mattress away from the wall, about 20cms
5. Prop up the mattress on its side (optional)
6. Close the windows
7. Turn on the ceiling fan or other fan/s for additional air circulation (optional)
8. Set your Ausclimate Dehumidifier’s humidistat control to 30% for electronic models or ‘continuous’ for the smaller 12L/Day models
9. Close the door behind you and let your Dehumidifier do its magic!

(Repeat this process every couple of months or during times of high rainfall/humidity)

And as always, if you have any questions, specific moisture issues or water-damage restoration questions, please feel free to contact Allan or myself for expert advice. We’re always here to help! Ausclimate Contact Page
