A stormy summer & your dehumidifier

Storm Season

Summer’s here

Wow! What a start to summer.

Heat, rain, storms and humidity; we got the lot! With weather like this it’s time to crank up your dehumidifier. Keep your home dry and you’ll protect your valuables, stop mould and musty odours.
Try running it in your bedroom once a week and feel the difference; no more uncomfortable damp and clammy bedding.

Can’t remember how to get the best out of your dehumidifier? Just check out our FAQs and Operating Tips @ http://www.ausclimate.com.au/faq.htm
And don’t forget to clean your air filter. Generally, by washing it under a tap once every few months will do the trick. The cleaner the filter, the more efficient your dehumidifier will be.

Cheers,

The Ausclimate team

Cyclone Ita – Baby Charlie

Cyclone Ita - Baby Charlie

As many of you will know, Cyclone Ita recently rocked north QLD as the strongest tropical cyclone to impact the area since Cyclone Yasi three years prior. But despite Ita’s destruction, we at Ausclimate were very happy to hear of a little blessing from some of our latest Ausclimate friends, Kasia and Daniel of Tully, QLD.

Kasia and partner Daniel are from the small town of Tully – approximately 140 kilometers south of Cairns and 210 kilometres north of Townsville and one of the wettest places in Australia. Kasia and Daniel had planned well ahead for the disastrous effects of Cyclone Ita with their Ausclimate Dehumidifier purchase. It came as a surprise however that a little bundle of joy decided to arrive just as the cyclone hit! We were delighted to hear of the safe delivery of baby boy, Charlie and that mother and son are doing well.

Kasia spoke of their thought process through this crazy series of events; ” As I was watching the cyclone’s progress, I decided we were in the safest place possible – surrounded by midwives and an obstetrician on call in a solid brick building”.

We were also happy to hear that in addition to the safe delivery of their baby boy Charlie, their Dehumidifier was also delivered safely despite the wild weather. All the best to Kasia, Daniel & Charlie as well as all those effected by Cyclone Ita. And as always, if you have any home moisture problems of your own, please don’t hesitate to get in touch, we’re here to help with friendly, expert advice and product details.

Cheers,

Brisbane & Noosa visits

Ausclimate on the road!

Brisbane Home Show (just passed)
Noosa Civic Shopping Centre (Today, 11/09 – Saturday 14/09)

Ausclimate were again well represented at the 2013 Brisbane September Home Show.
We were delighted to meet & help a massive audience of visitors who shared their current concerns about their dampness issues.

It was particularly interesting to note how the change of seasons had influenced their home moisture problems from ‘large scale’ household problems to more’ isolated room to room’ moisture problems.

The most common concerns we found however, focused on health related issues, rather than the usual physical damage caused from home contents dampness issues.
Many visitors spoke of respiratory issues from allergens like mould spores and dust mites.

Again, we were able to help many new Ausclimate friends and customers, educating about how to deal with these common issues and find solutions to their moisture problems. Many also took advantage of the great value Ausclimate dehumidifiers to dry out their problem areas and reduce these common triggers for their respiratory issues.

Noosa Civic Shopping Centre (Today, 11/09 – Saturday 14/09)

Next up, we’ve just arrived at the Noosa Civic Shopping Centre and we’ll be here every day through this Saturday. Come on down, say hello to Joanne & myself and find the solution to your home moisture problems! We’ll also have details soon to come about our upcoming visit to Wollongong.

See you there!

Signs You Need a Dehumidifier at Home

Coming home is always something to look forward to. There’s nothing like spending time with your family, doing the things you love, and catching up on rest after a stressful day. Your house is a place of comfort, as how any home should be. You should not let anything ruin the precious moments with your loved ones.

Ausclimate understands that quality time is something you can’t afford to sacrifice. We offer top of the line dehumidifiers in Australia that can make your house a comfortable, fun, and safe place to live in. Here are some signs you need to get a dehumidifier for your house.

Humid household
Water beading on windows and mould growing on furniture are some signs of high humidity levels at your home. Too much moisture in the air also makes breathing difficult for you. In some cases, this may even trigger allergies, asthma, and other respiratory conditions.

We recommend running dehumidifiers to maintain a dry home during periods of humid or wet weather to reduce allergens that can lead to serious health issues. Our products help reduce moisture, giving your family a cleaner air to breathe.

Musty smells
When there’s musty smell, there’s mould somewhere. The odour mould leaves is particularly embarrassing when you’re resting or accommodating visitors at home. Once you noticed the unusual smell, trace the source, get rid of the mould, and control the humidity level. Buy a dehumidifier to prevent fungi from growing and keep your home free from unpleasant odours.

Pest infestations
A humid house is the perfect breeding place for pests. High moisture encourages pests to grow, thrive, and breed fast. Cockroaches, ants, and other insects can also invade a very humid home. Don’t wait for them to attack yours; get a dehumidifier to reduce your chances of infestation.

We offer small and large NWT dehumidifiers that are easy to use and highly efficient. Check out our top deals for the month and get discounts for our dehumidifiers. We also offer fast and free delivery to anywhere in Australia. Call Allan at 0427 693 273 in our New South Wales office to learn more about our products. If you’re in Queensland or anywhere else in Australia, get in touch with Russell at 0422 008 777 for more information.
