Bedroom Mattress Dehumidifier Drying Guide

Get rid of mould and dust mites from your mattress with your Ausclimate Dehumidifier!

We spend around a third of our lives in bed, and if you examine that bed closely, you may be unpleasantly surprised at who your sleeping with! Dust mites and other various microscopic nasties are likely breeding in your mattress all year round and can cause skin allergies, general allergies irritations and various breathing issues.

But luckily, there is an easy solution; Your DEHUMIDIFIER!

My partner, Joanne (pictured) always tells people how amazed she was the first time she saw about how much moisture the Dehumidifier was able to extract from the families mattresses at home.

Follow these simple instructions to dry out your mattress, carpet and inside of your wardrobe, reducing the moisture levels, therefore eliminating their optimal breeding conditions for these “nasties”. Through regular use, you’ll sleep better knowing that dust mites won’t be there to affect you or your loved ones anymore.

Some easy to follow tips to dry out your bedroom:

1. Place the Ausclimate Dehumidifier in a central location within the room
2. Remove the bed linen to fully expose the mattress
3. Drape the pillows over a clothes airer (optional)
4. Pull the mattress away from the wall, about 20cms
5. Prop up the mattress on its side (optional)
6. Close the windows
7. Turn on the ceiling fan or other fan/s for additional air circulation (optional)
8. Set your Ausclimate Dehumidifier’s humidistat control to 30% for electronic models or ‘continuous’ for the smaller 12L/Day models
9. Close the door behind you and let your Dehumidifier do its magic!

(Repeat this process every couple of months or during times of high rainfall/humidity)

Ausclimate On-Location Update:
The Pines Shopping Centre, Elanora/Gold Coast QLD (Thursday 14/11 – Saturday 16/11)

We’ve had a great time this past week visiting Maroochydore and other areas of the Sunshine Coast. We were particularly delighted to meet Lesley Richards (pictured) and her cute little friend here at Pure Paws in Buderim. Lesley runs Pure Paws which is much more than a just a dog grooming business – “it’s a first class natural canine boutique bakery, spa and training centre.”

As seen in the picture, this curious pooch was particularly fascinated by the new Dehumidifier. Lesley uses her Ausclimate Dehumidifiers in the shop to dry out the doggy towels, keep mould at bay and assist in keeping away that “wet-dog-smell” that we all know and love!

So next time your giving your pooch a wash, get the Dehumidifier on the job to dry out your towels and prevent any of those musty “wet-dog” smells before they set in. And make sure to check out Pure Paws if your in the area, we’re sure your pooch will thank you for it! (We hear they’ve even got some lovely doggy birthday cakes for their special day)

Visiting with Noel

This is Noel of Brisbane QLD. We recently had the privilege of catching up with Noel to find out all about his rather interesting use of his Ausclimate Dehumidifier. Noel’s lifelong passion for Entomology (the study of insects) has resulted in an amazing insect collection that he is very proud of. He keeps this collection in great condition by controlling the room’s humidity levels with regular use of his Dehumidifier.

We’ll have more about Noel’s fascinating story in the coming weeks. Thanks Noel!

And as always, if you have any questions about moisture control in your home, please feel free to contact Allan or myself for expert advice and custom solutions for all of your moisture problems. Check out our website at www.ausclimate.com.au
